Morning Brief & appointment calendar

See the day ahead in one place.

Start with the appointment records, new leads and open jobs in your workspace. Review what needs attention, then use your calendar to record the next visit.

01 / Get your bearings

A brief grounded in your saved work.

Your business timezone sets the day. The Morning Brief gives you a starting point for reviewing the records behind the numbers.

Today's appointments
Workspace appointment records scheduled for the day, including every status. Check the individual record to see whether it is scheduled, completed or canceled.
New leads
Lead records created since the start of the business day. This count is about when they were added, not whether their current status is New.
Open jobs
Jobs marked Pending, In progress or Invoiced. A recorded status or value does not confirm that a payment has been received.

A sample working day

Start with the details that matter.

Fictional example — no appointment is created and nothing is sent.

Example business timezone: America/New_York. These are fixed sample records, not today's live activity.

Review the saved inquiry before deciding the next step.

A review prompt does not mean a customer has agreed to a visit.

Why can the appointment count differ from visits still ahead?

The Brief includes all statuses. For example, one scheduled appointment and one canceled appointment still make two appointment records for that day. Open the records to read their status before planning your visits.

The calendar can hide completed, canceled and missed visits until you choose to show them. A count is a starting point, not a confirmation of availability.

02 / Arrange the next visit

Keep appointments in your business timezone.

Create a workspace appointment with customer details, a date, time and duration. Add a service, address and notes where useful. You can start from a saved lead to keep the inquiry linked.

Look at the day or the bigger picture

Choose day, week, month or year in the calendar, or use the appointment list. Open a day to see its appointment details and manage workspace records.

Empty calendar dates do not confirm availability. Check the underlying records and any separately held commitments.

Keep a change of plan on the record

Reschedule a Scheduled or Confirmed appointment, or update its status and notes. Updating the status sends no email.

Creating or rescheduling a workspace appointment does not change Google Calendar. Any confirmation email is a separate request with its own setup and delivery outcome.

03 / Know the source

Workspace appointments and Google stay distinct.

Where Google Calendar setup has been verified, saved Google events can appear alongside workspace appointments. Google events are read only in Backbone; edit them in Google.

Check the last successful sync and saved date window. Events may be missing outside that window, and saved details may be out of date. Google Calendar read-sync remains setup-dependent; this guide does not establish provider verification for your workspace.
